3.12.23 It's already December! / E' già dicembre!

Dopo la cancellazione della scorsa settimana, ero preoccupata che potesse succedere di nuovo. Ma no, questa domenica c'era il Mercatel. Avevamo paura di morire di freddo, naturalmente, ma in realtà non è stato così male. Forse perché, tra le altre cose natalizie, vendeva portacandele e candele alla mia bancarella. Ho potuto accenderne alcune per scaldarmi! C'erano diversi altri articoli natalizi, come la decorazione di agrifoglio in un vaso di ceramica nella foto.

Non avevo molte piante con me, solo piante robuste come i miei crisantemi, che continueranno a fiorire tutto il mese. Ho portato la maggior parte delle altre piante dentro casa ed è troppo freddo per riportarle fuori improvvisamente. Sono tutte elencate sul blog, insieme alle altre cose che ho in vendita, e se c'è qualcosa che vi interessa particolarmente, fatemelo sapere e organizzeremo il ritiro al mercato la prossima volta che ci sarò  o da casa mia, che è a soli cinque minuti a piedi dal punto in cui la Martesana incontra via Melchiorre Gioia.

Se hai un amico amante delle piante d'appartamento, che ne dici di regalargli un Aglaonema per Natale, la pianta che nessuno riesce a uccidere?

After last week's cancellation, I was worried it might happen again. But no - this Sunday, the Mercatel was on. We were frightened of freezing to death of course, but in fact it wasn't too bad. Perhaps it was because amongst other Chrismassy things, was selling  candle holders and candles on my stall. I lit a few to warm me up! There were several other Christmas items like the holly decoration in a ceramic pot in the photo.

I didn't have many plants with me, only hardy plants like my chrysanthemums - they'll go on flowering all month. I've brought most of the others indoors and it's too cold to suddenly take them out again. They're all listed on the blog though, along with the other things I have to sell, and if there's anything that particularly interests you, let me know and we'll arrange for you to pick it up at the market next time I'm there or from my home - which is only five minutes walk away from where the Martesana meets via Melchiorre Gioia. If you've got a houseplant loving friend, what about an Aglaonema as a Christmas present- the plant that no-one can kill.
