Che cosa vendo al Mercatel? / What do I sell at El Mercatel? My plants and other items...

La prima cosa che vedrai sulla mia bancarella sono le mie piante, quasi tutte coltivate da seme o talea sui miei balconi. Solitamente porto sia una versione più grande che una più piccola di ogni pianta, in modo da adattarsi allo spazio che hai a casa. Ma vendo anche molte altre cose legate al giardinaggio. • Piante: principalmente quelle adatte per balcone o come piante da interno, ma anche altre da piantare se hai un piccolo giardino o un orto. Cliccate sul link per vedere l'elenco completo di ciò che ho in vendita. Vengono coltivate senza l'uso di pesticidi che potrebbero essere dannosi per le api o altri insetti impollinatori.
• Contenitori decorativi in ceramica, metallo e vimini in cui puoi mettere le piante.
• Semi: solitamente raccolti dalle piante che ho coltivato l'anno precedente. Semino tutti i miei semi prima di venderli per verificare che germinino.
• Grandi vasi e sottovasi, che puoi usare se hai bisogno di trapiantare una pianta in un contenitore più grande. Riutilizzando i nostri vasi e sottovasi, eviterete di acquistare plastica 'nuova' inutilmente.
• Libri:  in italiano e inglese, sul giardinaggio sul balcone e sulle piante da interno.
• Riviste di giardinaggio:  copie arretrate degli anni precedenti per il mese corrente. Sono per lo più in italiano, ma alcune sono in inglese.
• Biglietti d'auguri:  tutti con foto di fiori o animali e uccelli che si trovano sulla Martesana o altre scene legate alla natura.
• Oggetti vari.

Quasi tutti i contenitori, vasi,  libri,  eccetera che vendo sono di seconda mano, ma tutti in buone condizioni. La mia filosofia è che tutto dovrebbe essere riutilizzato il più possibile prima di essere infine riciclato. I contenitori e vasi usati vengono sempre puliti e disinfettati prima di essere venduti.

My plants are the main feature of my stall  -  I've grown almost all of them from seed or cuttings on my balconies. I usually have both a larger and a smaller version of each plant to sell, to suit the space you have at home. But I also sell quite a lot of other things connected with gardening. Click on the green links in the list below to see the category that interests you.

• Plants - mainly those suitable for balconies or as houseplants, but also others to plant if you have a small garden or allotment. Click on the link to see a full list of what i have for sale. All are grown without using pesticides which would be harmful to bees or other pollinators.
• Decorative pots - ceramic, metal and wicker -  which you can put the plants in. 
• Seeds - usually collected from plants I grew the previous year. I sow all my seeds myself before selling them in order to test that they'll germinate.
• Large pots and drip trays, which you can use if you need to transplant a plant into a larger container. By reusing our pots, you'll avoid buying "new" plastic unecessarily.
• Books - in both Italian and English, on balcony gardening and houseplants.
• Gardening magazines - back copies from previous years of those for the current month. These are mostly in Italian but some are in English.
• Greetings cards:  all with photos of flowers from my balcony or other things associated with nature.
• Miscellaneous objects

Nearly all the pots, books etc which I sell are second hand - but all in good condition. My philosophy is that everything should be reused as much as possible before finally being recycled. Used pots are always cleaned and disinfected before they are sold.
