El Mercatel 2026 – 14 marzo / El Mercatel 2026 - March 14th

Il Mercatel di oggi è stato annullato a causa del maltempo. Anche se la forte pioggia di ieri per il momento si è fermata, sono previste altre precipitazioni più tardi nella giornata. Quindi non saremo di nuovo lungo la Martesana fino al 12 aprile.

Today's Mercatel has been cancelled because of the bad weather. Although the heavy rain that we had yesterday has stopped for the moment, more is forecast for later in the day. So we won't be on the Martesana again until April 12th.  

A quel punto molte delle mie piante, che erano pronte per oggi  (come le primule, che in questo momento sono davvero bellissime), avranno già finito di fiorire. Però molte delle mie piantine saranno pronte per la vendita – come questi piselli nani. Sono compatti, raggiungono un’altezza massima di 60 cm e sono ideali per un balcone.

Lo stesso vale per molte altre piante che in questo momento stanno crescendo felicemente in casa, ma che per allora saranno pronte per essere spostate all’esterno: pomodori nani, peperoni, zucchine e tutta una gamma di fiori, dalle tagete ai girasoli nani, fino a zinnie e nasturzi. Pubblicherò una lista completa più vicino alla data, quindi assicuratevi di tornare a controllare.

By mid April a lot of my plants, which were ready for today (like the primula) will have finished flowering. But a lot of my seedlings will be ready for sale - like these dwarf peas. They're bushy, reach a mazimum height of 60cm and are ideal for a balcony. The same is true for many of the others that are currently growing happily indoors, but by then will be ready to move outside - dwarf tomatoes, peppers, zucchini and a whole range of flowers from marigolds and dwarf sunflowers to zinnia and nasturtiums. I'll put up a complete list nearer the time, so be sure to check back.

Per allora sarà anche possibile seminare i semi direttamente all’aperto, quindi se preferite coltivare da soli le vostre piante, avrò in vendita una vasta gamma di semi diversi. Dovrebbe anche fare abbastanza caldo da poter portare fuori e mettere in vendita piante da appartamento e succulente.

And by then you'll be able to sow the seeds directly outside, so if you prefer to grow your own, I'll have a wide range of different seeds on offer. It should be warm enough to bring the houseplants and succulents out for sale too.
