When will El Mercatel be held in 2026? / Quando si terrà El Mercatel nel 2026?

Marzo è ormai alle porte e questo significa che El Mercatel ricomincia. La prima domenica — tempo permettendo — sarà il 1° marzo e, come sempre, saremo presenti dalle 10 alle 17, condizioni meteo permettendo. Come potete vedere dal calendario, le date regolari saranno la prima e la terza domenica di ogni mese da marzo a giugno e poi lo stesso in settembre e ottobre. L’unica eccezione di quest’anno è aprile: poiché la prima domenica coincide con la Pasqua, saremo presenti invece il 12.

March will soon be here and that means that El Mercatel starts again. The first Sunday - weather permitting -  will be March 1st, and, as always, we'll be there from 10am to 5pm, weather permitting. As you can see from the calendar, the regular dates will be the first and third Sundays of each month March to June and then the same in September and October. The only exception this year is April, as the first Sunday is Easter Sunday and we'll be there on the 12th instead.

So what will I be selling? It's a bit early for plants - I've sown a lot of seeds, but it will be several weeks before they're ready for sale. But my succulents have overwintered well, I have a nice collection of spring flowers like primulas and pansies, and it will be warm enough to bring out a few houseplants - though most of those will have to wait for later.

Quindi, cosa venderò? È un po' presto per le piante, ho seminato molti semi ma passeranno diverse settimane prima che siano pronti per la vendita. Comunque, i miei succulenti hanno passato bene l'inverno, ho una bella collezione di fiori primaverili come primule e violette del pensiero, e speriamo che sarà abbastanza caldo per portare fuori alcuni piante da interno - anche se la maggior parte di esse dovrà aspettare più avanti.

But March is above all the month for sowing seeds, and I'll have a selection of flower and vegetable seeds to sell, as well as books to tell you how to cultivate them on a balcony, and a range of other things associated with flowers and plants - everything from greetings cards (Easter is coming!) to scarves.

Ma marzo è soprattutto il mese per seminare e avrò una selezione di semi di fiori e verdure da vendere, oltre a libri per insegnarti come coltivarli su un balcone e una serie di altre cose associate ai fiori e alle piante - dalle biglietti di auguri (sta arrivando la Pasqua!) ai foulard.
